Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Psalm 143:10 (NIV)
Prayer
“I pray to be able to grasp my purpose in life and diligently pursue it with a spirit of excellence. I ask for grace to understand I am the head and not the tail, so I model the example of a believer rather than copy fads. I pray for a temperate and teachable spirit as I navigates my days, weeks, months, and years.
I pray for self-discipline, so I fully apply myself to things that matter, with a sense of priority; that I do not sacrifice the effort required for my long-term future with temporal bliss. I pray my desires never outweigh my purpose.
I ask that I be grounded in integrity, truth and faith, so I learn to love God out of a joy in pleasing Him, rather than fear of ‘being found out,’ or ‘looking good’ before men.
In Jesus Name.
